The West Valley Singers began in the Fall of 2016, as the smaller ensemble of the larger West Valley Chorale. The Chorale Board asked Ted Faszer to recruit and organize a 20–25-member vocal ensemble to perform at community events to generate positive PR for, and to recruit members for the West Valley Chorale. Because this event will take
place in April 2024, there will be approximately 15 singers because many of their “snow
birds” will have departed by that time.
The first Singers performance was at Grandview Terrace in 2016 and since that time they
have performed for banquets, service clubs, art gallery series, a hospital concert, a concert in the park, in rec centers, churches, and retirement communities.
The program chosen for the Luke Chapter MOAA – the Sounds of Spring -- will include
patriotic numbers, spring themes, and love themes. Included will be choral pieces, interspersed with narration, solos, duets, and instrumental numbers.
