Andrew Gould was a judge of the Arizona Supreme Court from November 2016 through April 2021. Prior to that he was a judge on the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One where he offered over 400 opinions.

Gould received his undergraduate degree from the University of Montana in 1986 and his J.D. from the Northwestern School of Law in 1990.

Judge Gould’s legal career began in private practice, serving as a civil litigator. He then became a deputy county attorney prosecuting major criminal cases for Yuma and Maricopa Counties. He has considerable experience in prosecuting numerous civil cases in Yuma, many involving border issues.

Judge Gould will discuss some of these border cases (he indicated he could talk for hours on this particular subject alone)! However, he will also discuss other cases he has been involved in which deal with religious liberty throughout the country, and particularly in the military. His presentation will also touch on cases which directly or indirectly affect military members (active and retired) or their families.
