    Lt. Col. Bill Gregory, United States Astronaut

    Flying the Space Shuttle
    Lt. Col. Bill Gregory, United States Astronaut was the pilot of Space Shuttle Mission TS-67 and set a mission duration world record of nearly 17 days aboard Endeavour.
    Gregory is a retired Air Force Pilot (Fighter Pilot, Test Pilot, and Instructor Pilot). He has 8,000+ hours in 40+ types of aircraft. He is currently a Master Certified Flight Instructor – Aerobatic daily flying the +/- 10g Extra-300L aircraft. He was a Distinguished Graduate of the USAF Academy, class of 1979, with a BS degree in Engineering Sciences. He also received an MS in Engineering Sciences in 1980 via a Guggenheim Fellowship at Columbia University,and an MS in Business Management from Troy University in 1980. He is a recipient of the 1996 Ellis Island Medal of Honor.

    Colonel Gregory is a successful aerospace and defense business executive. He serves on a board of advisors/directors for several firms and non-profits. He is a former member of the Arizona Governor’s Commission on Aerospace and Defense. During his presentation he will provide a firsthand account from the cockpit of the challenges in flying and landing a space shuttle.
    Gregory was an Eagle Scout. He enjoys water-skiing, wakeboarding, and snow skiing for leisure. He is also an Endurance Athlete and has competed in World Championships for Duathlon and IRONMAN Triathlon.
