John’s career included leading a Combat Search and Rescue team in Mogadishu, Somalia as a member of Task Force Ranger, 1993.  After commissioning (Military Intelligence) he served as a Long-Range Surveillance Platoon Leader deploying to Central California in support of counter-drug operations.  He was deployed to the United Kingdom in support of the Kosovo air war and as a Targeting Officer in support of deterring North Korea’s threat.   Immediately after 9-11, John was assigned as a Battalion Intelligence Officer with the 173^rd Airborne Brigade in Vicenza, Italy. As an Intelligence Officer, he deployed to Germany, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Tunisia, and to Kosovo. In March 2003, he took part in an airborne assault into Northern Iraq and after parachuting in, John’s unit worked to liberate the city of Kirkuk.

            After declining promotion to Major, John and his family retired to their four-acre residence just north of the Border.  He started a one-man independent research and analysis effort, originating from ground zero in very remote locations. While employing advance surveillance-optics, he ventured out in the night alone to see for himself what threats existed beyond his doorstep in Southeastern, Arizona. From 2013-2016, John volunteered to be Cochise County Sheriff’s only Intelligence Analyst.  Since that time, he has compiled over a decade’s worth of data in the form of photos, full motion video, interviews, and analytical products which shows what is really happening on the Border.
